The struggles between spiritual and physical selves was finally over within SL Monk. The co-existence of the spiritual and physical selves was logically impossible. What was left of him was the physical self without the highest ideal. He mourned the death of his best friend, his spiritual self. No longer could he believed in the absentee Father. He was all alone in the universe. He was the only person that he could count on. And he intended to make a better life for himself.
He gave Princess Pea the ultimatum: "no sex, no marriage. " It took some arguments and crying, but finally, they made love as they should have to end the longest dry spell. SL Monk could not understand why it could not happen sooner, and required an ultimatum. Certainly, Princess Pea was not comfortable and in a bit pain from sex. But at this point, SL Monk cared more about himself. He was the new PokiMonk.
Despite the end of sex dry spell, based on Princess Pea's collected statistics from friends, she was on a quarter schedule irrespective of SL Monk's sex drive. SL Monk wanted to gradually go back to normal. So he waited patiently for things to change for the better. However, the quarterly event was like a single raindrop of water onto the big desert. Having something was for sure infinitely better than nothing. But it was just far from enough. At the third quarter, SL Monk pleaded again for higher frequency. They quarreled right before the all-important seasonal act, and nothing great resulted from the fight.
Disillusioned about his sex life and marriage, SL Monk decided that the seasonal sex was simply not a sex life that he could accept. Because Princess Pea had a mini-surgery scheduled, and a summer-long family trip to visit parents on both sides, he decided that he would wait for her recovery and talk to her after the trip.
On the return at airport, SL Monk bought the biggest size of 16.5 oz Creme de La Mer moisturizer for Princess Pea. His emotion was mixed, but he did not want to think too much. Reminiscing through years of marriage, he knew very well that it was going to be very difficult to find a better wife than Princess Pea, excluding the sex part. She was perfect in every other way, and she always tried to be perfect. Being frugal for her own personal spending, she would never buy Creme de La Mer. His tears streaked down not knowing whether Princess could take care of herself. But there was nothing more that he could do.
