The previous life of The Monk must have been an ascetic monk. Always too precocious at any age versus his peers, he began his life quest to find Truth at about 4th grade. "What is the everlasting Truth? Is there a God? Can omnipotence and omniscience ever logically co-exist with God’s love? ", he asked. A philosopher at heart, he avidly learned math, science and religions to uncover the mysteries of the universe around him.
But the Monk must have entered the wrong body when trying to reincarnate. Or maybe it was a cruel joke by God. Despite the fact that he had minimal material desires of any kinds, he could not deny his manly biology as he grew up into puberty. Knowing that there was no chance of overcoming the sexual desires, he sought to become a scientist instead. He advanced quickly in his studies, and eventually finished multiple degrees in two separate engineering programs from top universities.
Following the path of a Karma Yogi described by Swami Vivekananda, he became a householder instead of a monk in monastery. By profession, he was an engineer.
